AZ – The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is sending more than 50,000 flu vaccines to Arizona, Gov.
Doug Ducey said Tuesday, in an announcement made on social media by the Department of Homeland Security.
The announcement came as a major outbreak of the virus hit Arizona, and as the state struggles with the spread of the new coronavirus.
Ducey also said the state would work with the federal government to expand the number of flu vaccines distributed to low-income families.
He called on states to provide additional resources for the vaccine program.
