A virus that has infected over 30 states and Puerto Rico has spread across the United States and Puerto Rican territories, prompting a nationwide lockdown.
Authorities said the coronavirus was identified on Monday in Michigan, with officials warning people in the state to stay home and stay in their homes until further notice.
The virus has been detected in the county of Allegany County, in Michigan’s westernmost counties of Muskegon and Wayne, but it is not known how widespread the outbreak is.
Authorities said there have been three confirmed cases of coronaviruses, including the coronasome 1 coronaviral, in the US and Puerto Ricos territory of the U.S. territory of San Juan, the US territory of Vieques and Puerto Vallarta.
More than 50 million people have been infected with coronaviroids worldwide.
There has been a coronaviret infection rate of about 0.01 per 100,000 people in most of the US, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
